Name – enter a monitor name. It is advised to enter the type of the monitor and the domain name, for example, SPF glockglockapps.co.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tags – enter a tag for the monitor (optional). Tags allows to filter the monitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Type – select SPF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interval – select the SPF record checking interval. Free monitors work every 2 hours. The interval for paid monitors starts with 1 minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Region – select the region: US East (N.Virginia) or Europe (Ireland). GlockApps uses two servers located in two regions and using different IP addresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Domain – enter the domain name without http:\/\/ or https:\/\/ for which you want to monitor the SPF record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Set the \u201cActive\u201d option to On.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Set \u201cEnable Alerts\u201d to On if you want to receive alerts when an issue with the SPF record is detected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alerts can be sent via one or multiple channels set up in Notification Integrations. The default channel is set up via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Set \u201cOpen a new form after saving\u201d to On if you want to add a new SPF monitor afterwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Click \u201cSave Monitor\u201d when you’re done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What Do the Monitor Statuses Mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n When the monitor is working, it shows the status of the SPF record on the progressive bar. The green bar means the Up status. The red bar means the Down status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Click on the monitor name to get a detailed report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The meanings of the statuses are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Up – the SPF record exists and is valid<\/p>\n\n\n\n Down – the SPF record doesn\u2019t exist or it exists but SPF authentication will fail because of an error in the SPF record<\/p>\n\n\n\n Degraded – the status changed from Up to Down <\/p>\n\n\n\n Inactive – monitor is inactive<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Events panel provides a detailed log of the record checks. Here you can get the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Event – shows the record status for the indicated date and time (Up, Down, Degraded)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Date – shows the date and time of the event (record check)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Duration – shows how much time the event status lasts. The tool shows the event status one time per day if it didn\u2019t change. The time when the event status is shown is not fixed. It is calculated approximately.
